where is the best place to find one of these. The one I have is close but is not tight in the hole. Thanks, jon

Mopar sells a block hardware kit that has the correct plug in it:

Any parts store that has core plugs should have it.

you mean the one behing the block by the distributor gear? kinda shallow and concave? mine were always loose too. i just hammered them in and the flatten and expand.

or do you mean the small ones behind the thrust plate at the front of the block

That is one reason they are called expansion plugs. This is the way that that type of plug is installed. Dimple the center to expand the peremeter.

I take the used one and nest it in something soft like a folded towel, a shot bag would be perfect. Then I tap it back to shape and reinstall it.

Dodge dealer 1821722 superseded by 2863071 $2.90 I wouldn`t chance reusing it as it would be a pain to fix if it leaked. Put the new one in with a little sealer on the edge and dimple as mentioned.

man, youse so cheap, youse woulda takin a used expansion plug, redimpled it and a reused it.
