I want to get the offset MC adapter to use on my 440 dart and use the newer 2 bolt MC. A couple of questions though,

1.) How do you 'offset' the pushrod to match the offset MC?
2.) The port sizes on my original MC are 9/16-18 and 1/2-20..the newer 2 bolt style MC ports are both 7/16-24, SO, how do i attach the lines to the newer MC without cutting and re-flaring the lines for the different size, which i would rather not do..?
3.) I have manual brakes, not power, but i believe all the newer 2 bolt MC's were on power brake cars, so how do i get one that had the recess for the rubber bushing that holds the pushrod in place if they all were power assist?
Thanks!

Not sure what application your M/C came from but the ones I use match the 9/16-18 and 1/2-20 port sizes.

Generally, I have found that the M/C I use have the recess for the manual pushrod retainer, even if for a power application

79/80 Aspen/Volare has a two bolt manual M/C.

As for the offset, this is what Mancini has to say

Quote
A longer pushrod is required due to the thickness of this adapter. The pushrod also needs to be relocated to the other side of the brake pedal. Adjustable brake pushrods are available from vendors such as Mancini Racing.

Dr.diff can set you up with all that stuff. The one thing I didn't see anywhere but found out after I went to install it, I had to grind a flat spot on the pedal arm. When you swap the push rod to the other side it may or may not hit the pedal mounting bracket. Best way would be to mill the thickness down nice and flat, I don't have the technology so I ground it then filed it flat. Need to remove about 1/8 from what I remember.

PB can use a MC with or without the piston "thimble" MB recess so have your parts man pull one in the bore size you are after & a quick look to see if it has it & if so you're set. EDIT I missed that Sniper had already shared this & I would think there are adapters somewhere for the fitting difference.

But im assuming that all the power brake master cylinders wont have that recess though..or do they have it normally anyways?

well, i dont think i can use the offset adapter because of these dang fenderwell headers..if i move ot over any, it will be even closer to the top header tube, which is what i was hoping to get further away from..

Just thinking out loud here, is it possible to (in addition) RAISE it a bit?

Since you never mention who's adapter you are using, is it possible to flip it and offset towards the engine? Might need a longer pivot bolt and shims as well as notching the firewall but something to think about.

You should be able to find the brass fitting that adapts from one to the other at your local hardware store,

You need to re-engineer that whole assembly.
You will be cooking your brake fluid.
