Went 13:25 and 13:18 @101 early. Took a couple jet sizes out of the front side and tried again. 12:95 backed up with a 12:93, both at 102.

Not bad for 235ci on muscle only.

That's a big jump for a couple of jets. Sounds like there still may be room for more improvement. Congrats on the new best.

Next time out I am going to pull 1 jet size out of the back side and see what it does. It ran a 103 last year in similar air. I had the carb apart last winter and added jet when I should have left it alone. I am at 70/73 now.

I've finally gotten it to leave better, but there is still some room for improvement. When I started it was 60 footing at 2.07 and little by little I'm knocking it down.

When I got the car from Mike he guaranteed me this motor would run 13:80ish. It's just a 10:1 pump gas motor, nothing fancy. He is amazed.

With a good motor he went 11:70s on Alky, and as fast as 10.0's on the hose.

I have the pieces to build a good motor. I got the 12:1 aluminum rod shortblock when I bought the car. I have a head that is close to what Mike had, but not quite. I figure I can run 12:20's on gas, maybe quicker.
