JonC OP master J Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 3,623 Millinocket, Maine	72 Cuda. While replacing the upper control arm bushings with offset ones I discovered the ball joint is loose. It won't tighten, one is stripped. What are my options? Oversized joint, new arms, welding? 11B40

Another option is to add some metal back to the socket with a welder, grind out the excess and then use the ball-joint to re tap the threads. I used that method on my driver's side UCA, works well.
