I was in Texas saturday, I pull out of a dealship had to get on it to keep from getting run over...my truck would all of the sudden act like it was jumping in out of gear! now it does this sometime when I go to pass someone now it doesn't do it all the time.. it a 99 ram 5.2 auto I had the tran rebuilt in dec of 07.. yesterday I stop at a light the truck act like it was stuck in high gear. I really worry since I couldn't get a new truck. Do I need to have the trans service? any help be greatly appricated!

Make sure your linkage is adjusted correctly between the column shifter and the detent in the transmission. Goes easier if someone shifts every position while you check underneath.

Make sure the wiring harness gong to the transmission/valve body has not wiggled loose.

sounds like the governer sensor and pressure soleniod on the valvebody.see if the transmission is still under warranty.i would try that first.

notorious for the gov psi transducer and the gov psi sensors to go bad. just change them both and erase the code and it should be fine
