Hi guys
I just had a body job done, I'd like to know your opinion on this welding
Reminds me of my first chop & channel attempt when I was 14 except you need about 30 lbs. of brass in there.
Sorry you had that experience. If that's from a body shop, it makes wonder how many Ferrari's & Lambo's are running around Italy with that under their paint.

it wasn't done in a proper body shop, but the man who did it used to run a body shop!! so... probably 10% body shop 90% hurry shop

my friend, i do restorations, and if one of my guys did work like this he'd be fired on the spot! when cars come in like this, i cant help but shake my head in disbelief that this was, by someone's definition, good, passable work...too many people out there think they're a body man because you can make anything look good with bondo....GRRRR! those of us who do proper body work are fewer and farther between all the time, im young, 27, and i learned from an old school body man, but the guys coming out of schools now all seem to be in that mode of "just do enough to make it stick and mud it up...youre right the welds didnt even penetrate like they should...man im sorry you had to pay for that.

Depending on what you paid and how much that amount of money hurts to lose, I would seriously consider small claims court. You could get some of your money back.......
If I was paying someone good money do do it right and I found THAT I would show up with a tire iron and beat my money back out of him.
If I really wanted a car that looked like it was held together with model airplane glue I could accomplish that myself much cheaper.

first of all....what hail storm did he get tha piece of tin from? as far as the weld....looks like chit to me and it'll suck to hve to have it redone, but better to get it done, and done the right way now, then six months down the road when your new paint is bubbling up.
