Wires are broken in the rubber boot. My 2002 started doing it in 2010, by the end of 2012 only the window still worked, pulled back the rubber boot from the hinge pillar and sure enough most of the wires were severed, the window ones were about half way severed. I ended up drilling out the connector shell but keeping them as that is what retains the boot to the hinge pillar and feeding new wire through the pillar-boot-door and re-terminating with a new connector on either end using a much more flexible type of wire vs the regular PVC insulated wire originally installed. This was all before the Dorman option existed, out of principle I refused to purchase a new harness from chrysler given the price and knowing it would fail again.

135! Thanks man! That looks totally easy with the Dorman fix! Just found it for $112 on Amazon.

Oh crap. Thanks for the post.
My '03 has exactly the same issue, with the same door, started the same way, same same same. I have been putting off looking at it.
I'm glad I stumbled upon this.
Now I have to figure out what the difference is between '03 and '04.
