Just got my new World Iron block, just wondering with all the improvements and more material that has been made to these. Do you think it is still advantageous to cement the block?

Doesn't matter where the block came from, sonic the cylinder walls. If it needs filling, use Embeco 885, shop I worked at in the early 90's used the stuff with good results.
