Call Frank Lupo @ Dynamic Converters in Newark Delaware, he may have an original core or point you in the right direction.

The Hemi converter is just a 764 with larger threads in the drive lugs. Some claim to have tapped the lugs oversize in situ.

The hemi converter has a bump in the case just outside of the snout, the front pump needs to be clearanced so the converter doesn't rub the pump body.

The machining you show isn't for a factory Hemi converter which has the same bowl as any other 10 3/4" converter. Only for the 10" and smaller require pump cover machining.

pretty sure a 383 4bbl converter, other than lugs, is the same as a street hemi. Yeah, that's the 764 I mentioned....also used on the /6, 318 and 340.

I had one in my 68 rr, 383, no modifications to run it. Not what I'm saying. You could run a hemi converter on a 383 crank but not vise-versa without the thin bolt heads......
