My Super Bee has a red possibly maroon interior. There isn't a build sheet and the A pillars covers look red but the dash pads look darker maroon. Was there ever a two tone interior with these colors? Thanks in advance for your help trying to straighten this out.

The red interior in 1968-69 was more maroon than red. Never saw a two tone red.
Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

68 was maroon. A-bodies offered a maroon and white two tone interior. My 68 340-S coupe is maroon and white two-tone
69 was red; bright
Not sure if 1970 B-body offered red interior. 1970 A and E body did offer a bright red. Not 100% sure if same shade as ‘69 red. But similar at least. 70 E-body had a red/white two tone -might be Barracuda or Challenger only?
Don’t think 71-74 A, B, or E offered a red. Maybe B’s offered a dark red/maroon?

Was there ever a two tone interior with these colors? Thanks in advance for your help trying to straighten this out. As with most colored interiors, you see lots of different shades. Typically each different material is a different shade: hard plastic (A-pillar, collumn cover, arm rest base), soft trim (dash, arm rest), carpet, metal dash frame (glove box lid, ash try), vinyl seats. ABS plastic (E’s and 71-up B’s) When you see a colored interior all resprayed in one color it looks tacky. You mind wants to see constrasts.

I looked at a 69 bee with bench seat interior in red. It was dark red close to maroon. It had different shades of the color on different parts. It was not all the exact same color.

The red and maroon colors fade easily. So it’s though to figure out how things looked or originally. You really need to look at the backside of plastic pieces, corners that are tucked away from sunlight, etc. Of course your typical flippers and average “restoration” shops don’t put the effort to match the shades. Here an somewhat orignal 68 Plymouth maroon interior and a restored one: Probably restored:

Of course your typical flippers and average “restoration” shops don’t put the effort to match the shades. The various parts were not all the same shade when these cars were new. Different vendors, different materials etc.

You can't compare the color of the seats from bench to buckets. They are usually different.
What does the car in the second picture have a RRGTX hood, satellite dash trim, sport satellite gtx Buckets, and a 2 spoke steering wheel. 8 track expel looks home made in both cars, where did the bottom of it go?
Is that the example from a flipper or car lot that doesn't care about doing it right? The seats aren’t the big deal here. Is all the other parts of the interior. A 68 B-body maroon kick panel, console, defrost vent, seat belt, column cover, etc will not match a 69 B-body. The 1st pic was listed as a low mile car. Seats look replaced. Color of bench to bucket is different if it’s a two tone or has a cloth insert. Typically one of the bench colors matches the buckets.

Was there ever a two tone interior with these colors? Thanks in advance for your help trying to straighten this out. The 69 red pad does not fade, it gets burnt by the sun and cooks itself to a darker color. I watched my brother do this to a red interior 69 GTX we had gotten. Told him he needed to get a car cover and not park it in the sun. He cooked that interior within a year

My 69' Coronet R/T was factory red with red interior. The dash padded areas did look like a darker red than some of the other colors of plastic/metals throughout the inside. I liked it a lot. It was different the the average ole black interior on everything.

From the 69 Dodge trim selector chart above for 1969: P6V- would be white and red two tone interior. Everything red except white: seats, door panals, arm rest, and arm rest base unless it gets a chrome base. The seat belts are red.

I have some original RED interior parts from a 69 Super Bee my Dad bought new. I'll try and take some picture of them, and post. The dash pad, and glove box door was NOT bright red.

He said he has a Super Bee so you are looking at & referencing the wrong pages. The Super Bee page is at http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/colorAndTrim/1969/69_Coronet0009.jpg Yep. My mistake. I lumped all Coronet’s together.

Here is the original steering wheel out of my Dads 69 Super Bee, that he bought new. He took it off around 1970-71, and it sat in my Grandparents barn ever since then, so it's not sun faded. The is the glove box door, and bucket seat pivot cover from the same car. As you can see, everything has a different shade of red to it. Cars that have everything the same, really look odd IMO.

Thanks for the picture because I thought that was maroon but I guess that's the way the factory delivered the car.
