Wasn’t a huge improvement, but every little bit counts I guess. 5.91 in the 1/8th and a couple mid 1.24 60 times. Car was lifting a little higher than I prefer, but we seemed to get it down some with some shock, rpm, and tire adjustments. Hard to test when your running an event, so round 1 losses were the norm. Big problem was that this was in Tucson. Might be a whole different animal if we get west closer to sea level. I see wheelie bars in my future.

That’s awesome. Best of luck to you this coming year. Mine is outside not being worked on. Rain and low 30 degree temps. Sucks not having a shop. Lol

Nice! Any interest in the no-prep stuff Tucson is running?

I’m too slow for that game, and at this stage, I think I need “prep” smile

Tucson is also a 730 mile round trip for me. It was a fun event and I’ve always had a good time there. Wish it were closer.

It was pretty good air there with a 26.67 baro and DA around 3570. 41 degrees with 31% humidity

I don't see any of the issues as very difficult to get straightened out fairly easily.

Doug it was 2970 with me in it, but we lost 16lb on the hood, 9lb on the driveshaft, 63lb on the trans swap, and a few lbs going with an aluminum steering column. Also moved the seat back 3”.

It would have been interesting if I would have made one change at a time instead of just throwing different stuff at it in my boredom over the summer. Only put 12 passes on the thing in 18 as I just wasn’t feeling it, but have some plans for 19 smile

Hard work.... lol. I basically haven’t changed a thing on the car since we got it running and sorted out. It became a nice solid “set it and forget it” combo once I got the 727 happy. I have another W8 mill that had a modded 598 for a dominator (I was running a 4150 style carb on my original 598), and a 904 that was a mildly prepped trans behind our iron head mill that’s been sitting here for 20 years, so in typical hot rodding “I wonder what this will do” fashion we threw some stuff at it.... and it seemed to like it! smile

Possible, but I’m entertaining the memorial weekend as well even though the “R” word seems more prevalent that time of year.
