At first I thought it was "The block".

But the ad says low deck...did not know whether they made any (?)

I don't think there is a low deck version of The Block so I'm guessing that is either something from HP or maybe the other guys who were trying to build blocks for awhile. I don't remember the name. Big Bear blocks or something like that??

Didn't Muscle Motors cast some blocks before they went down? Could it be one of their blocks?

The Block comes in low deck according to the hot rod article https://www.hotrod.com/articles/incredible-new-block-can-make-hemi-wedge/

Doesn't look like a koleno, they had a big bear paw on the side.

Ok thanks, I guess it must be "The Block" , just judging from the appearance of the lifter valley.

Was told they make them in RB, then they're not making any of them at all, and that was the end of it...so it was a surprise to come across this beast.

Dont look like any of the pictures of The Block. It has ribbing on the side as well as a CC on the front and neither of those show up on pics of The Block.

It's a Bulldog block. They are available in 9.980 deck, 10.200 deck, and 10.725 deck. Looking at the casting, my guess is it was cast and machined this past summer or fall.

A bit off topic, but how does that lifter valley design possibly allow for adequate drain-back???

look on the side of the block , it says BD M50 , which is the designation for Bulldog blocks.

I think the CC stands for Chicago Connection ( Bill Hupke )

The guy who bought my Belvedere has a low deck "The Block" that is a Hemi.
