Hello, I was wondering if there's any difference between a '72 B Body front bench seat and a '71 B Body front bench seat? Other than the covering/design is the frame the same? Seat brackets? This is in reference to a split bench w/o a center fold down armrest bench seats.

Also what year range would be the same if we're talking about a split bench and excluding the cover design.

Thanks in advance beer

Specifics always help.......

2 door or 4 door for starters.

Sorry, 2 door B Body 71-74 range. 1971 is what I'm aiming for. The covers are available thru Classic Industries.

thanks

On 71 the back release button is down by the hinge and 72-4 the button is about 3/4 the way up the seat back.
Don't think that is going to make a difference with the covers.

Thanks Mark.

Here's a pic of a 1971 Dodge Charger front bench seat. It has the release button towards the top and not at the hinge.

In my experience the release button is up high on a 71 bench

Yes I believe you guys are correct. Years ago I had an early built Satellite with a bench and the button was down low. But the more that I think about it now it had a high back bench that probably was from a 70 E body.
This works for me has I need a bench for a 71.
