Ok My new world iron block wedge will be ready by Christmas . What size if any oil restrictor to rocker gear would be recommended ? The only info I came up with was 0.040" in the hemi block . This is fitted in the block feed at deck surface , so cant be changed once heads are fitted . I will be running a solid flat tappet with Howards EDM lifters . I have Crane Gold 1.5 rockers . Street and strip use . TIA Tex

.040-.060......... pick something and go.
When I’m using the Indy external lines, I use a .060 restrictor per side with that set up....... and when I prime the motor....... there’s quite a bit of oil flowing.

The 4.490 rough bore World cast iron wedge block I built several years ago had .039 restrictors in the oil passages to each head, They ended up flooding the B1 heads with single shaft roller rocker arms bad enough to cause over filling the heads issues on the dyno running the motor at 2500 RPM for extended periods while the dyno operator dinked around on the computer, both heads had two #8 AN drain back lines on both ends of the heads I'm getting ready to build myself a Koleno high nickel cast iron block but I'm going to go to a set of paired shaft rocker arms EDITED on the B1-MC heads, not a single shaft set up so the oil passages to the heads won't be used

Had the same thing happen to my B1, put clear line on the returns to test it and my engine was pulling a vacuum up the return lines. Dropped the return below oil level in the pan fixed it. Joe

That’s the kind of useful tidbit of info you store in your mind....... that may come in handy down the road. Area wise, one .040 feed hole to each head is about the same as eight .014 size holes(as if you were pushrod oiling and restricted the feeds to .014).

Joe No vacuum pump on that motor then, I believe all the oil return lines where above the oil level, not below

Mine is pushrod oil. The push rods were .090". They have been restricted with roll pins to aprox .058". Still way bigger than needed. What size do you think they should be, if .058" is still too big?

Well, let’s seeeeee....... if you can feed one whole side with a single .040 hole......
....... divided by....... carry the one...... times the square.......
Equals........ way smaller than .058 should be fine.
