Hi all,

Getting ready to install two speakers on my rear deck, and just wondering what the best way is to route the wires up front to the radio? I had been planning to run them up the center (on top of the drive shaft hump), under the carpet, but I just remembered there should be a "channel" with a cover that runs along the driver's side door. I've searched the forum, but don't see anything specifically related to this. Is it possible to route them without pulling the rear seat out? Or do I need to pull the rear seat bottom? I'm just trying to avoid pulling a bunch of stuff out that I don't need to. Thanks for any suggestions.

Roger

Easier and more protected wiring is run along the drivers side under the carpet and under the sill plate up behind the kick panel and over to the radio. Pull the back seat bottom and then it's easy to pull the carpet up enough to run the wires behind the side panel and to the sill plate. Wiring stays completely hidden.

however even you don want, will be better to remove the bottom of the bench ( which is not really hard to do ), because wiring gets some looms on sides, on back of seat panels. make it clean wink. No need to remove side panels, because there is room to play with them, but better if you remove bottom of bench. You should get room to get the wire throught the rear trunk panel too, parallel with the rear lighting harness.

ORIGINALLY, the wiring gets up to the package tray up to one of the rear "beams" and hold by a clip/loom similar to the alternator wiring clip/loom, attached with a screw as far I recall to one of these beams.

Do you want it to look nice and clean like factory, or like a sore thumb?
