is the way it runs from factory in fact however even you don want, will be better to remove the bottom of the bench ( which is not really hard to do ), because wiring gets some looms on sides, on back of seat panels. make it clean . No need to remove side panels, because there is room to play with them, but better if you remove bottom of bench. You should get room to get the wire throught the rear trunk panel too, parallel with the rear lighting harness. ORIGINALLY, the wiring gets up to the package tray up to one of the rear "beams" and hold by a clip/loom similar to the alternator wiring clip/loom, attached with a screw as far I recall to one of these beams.
