Anybody have good luck with a particular shrinking hammer? I am doing some body work, TRYING to do it the right way instead of just filling it up with putty. Haven't had much luck with the torch. Thought about getting a shrinking hammer. I have some dings here and there, and also a little warping from welding / grinding in some patch panels.

So who is using what?

Thanks.

I've had good luck with a shrinking gun and a shrinking disk.

A slapping file used in conjuction with a shrinking dollie will also provide excellent results. A great book to pick up is the "Key to metal bumping" TP tools ,and I believe Eastwood sell it. This little book has provided me alot info on metal work. Good luck!

for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?

I will look into all of your suggestions. Is that shrinking disc very expensive? I'm guessing it is, haven't looked into them because seeing them, I just saw dollar signs, ha.
