Okay, I took the plunge and purchased a set of Tony's 2944450 15x7 steel wheels for my T/A for Christmas from the wife. Isn't she great?
I'll be painting them in a couple of weeks and then getting some new modern RWL radial tires and they'll be on the T/A in the spring.
Two questions: 1) What do you use to pull off the dog dish hub cap without damaging the rim paint?
2) Is the T/A Challenger the only model to use the 15x7 steel rim with the trim ring? I think it is.
Thanks Jeff

Hey Jeff, my T/A is a steel wheel car and I love the look! I struggled with the dog dish hubcap removal issue without damaging the paint, and what I found that works great is a simple paint can lid removal tool, with a bit of masking tape wrapped around the curved end to protect the wheel paint and cap. As far as the trim rings, I've seen some pictures of '71 B bodies with steel wheels, caps and rings, but I don't know if they were factory built that way.

I use the drum brake adjustment tool with some tape on the pivot point to remove the dog dish hubcaps. My friends 71 Super Bee is a dog dish/trim ring car.

From all the applications I'm familiar with, except the T/A, the dog dish hub cap was by itself. Would the trim ring have been an extra option on the 71? Thanks for the thoughts on removal of the cap.

It showed a trim ring on his broadcast sheet. I had some paperwork on the wheel and tire options for 71 but can't seem to find it. I don't think it was available on Plymouth models. Maybe there's some information on Barry's site.

Hey Jeff, my T/A is a steel wheel car and I love the look! My TA had the same option and I too loved the look. When I sold the car I kept the wheels of my 70 Hemi GTX

Well they are installed. I considered the polyglas but decided on a modern radial. I wanted something different from the BFG T/As and went with these. 235s in front, 255s in the rear. I'm happy with the result.
