Unanimous, that's good to hear cuz I decided I "wanted" one (& have it) as opposed to checking with you guys first to see if I "needed" one. Thanks guys.

1. I also have one
2. I can't convince myself what the real upside is, other then looks, in this application
3. Poly sucks as far as longevity and when it decides to suddenly disintegrate without warning

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

My 65 B body I run poly on all 3 mounts with BB 4 speed. My kid ran all 3 in his 62 300 also.Never a problem. We git them from Steve at Imperial Services. Both motor mount sets were protypes.Same with the 62 tranny mount. Both have been in at least 12 years or more.Rocky

Early A ('64) with SB. I have the poly trans mt (it looked too purty to pass up!) & I'm wondering if I should go solid on the eng (I ain't thinking a solid is available for em) but I could lock em solid on one or both sides?

Typicall y just the DS needs a solid or locked mount. My 65 I would tear the DS easy.Even the old OE mounts would tear.Put polys in and no more trouble.Rocky

Is the eng plate mounted solid to the (sub)frames? It sounds like it is (& from others who have it) from the jist of this but I did see a pic of one once that was set down on rubber biscuits on each subframe with L brackets on each end.

An engine plate is typically solid mounted to the frame rails. Some pro touring type of builds use some rubber mounts on them varying in designs.

^^^ noted, & it sounds like solid mts on both sides will not be an issue. Thanks guys.
