I have a really dumb question, I removed these lines from the car and forgot to mark them. The Milodon pump cover does not say 'in' or 'out' on it. Nor does the remote oil filter body. I looked on Milodon's website and the instructions don't mention it.

This is for a show car/street car, and the Fram oil filter will be upgraded to Wix.

Thanks for any input.

I'm pretty sure that the higher fitting on the pump is outlet to filter. I can't help you with the filter adapter. You need to know which port goes to the center and which port is on the outside.
Where did you get that motor plate from? I like that it fits to the timing cover bolts. Has to be much stronger and more rigid than the ones that just bolt through the water pump bolts.

On the filter , the outside of the filter is the inlet, so that goes to the outlet of the pump. The center of the filter is the outlet of the filter, many goes to the inlet or supply to the block

Ok, I'll remove the oil filter holder and try to figure that out.

The motor plate came on the car so I'm not sure if it was bought or made, it has a mid plate too so it's way overkill for a street car but it all looks nice and professional.

Ok thanks, I'm confused but once I get it apart I'll be able to see what's going on. I'll see where the ports lead to on the filter mount.

Life would have been much easier if I'd labeled the hoses, I just figured the length of the hose would tell me but they're actually the same length.

Looks like the line closest to the milodon logo is the outlet of the pump, that would go to the line that feeds the outer part of the filter. The center of the filter feeds the other line which is the inlet to the block oil passages. Hope that makes sense

Yes that does make sense, I'm gonna take it apart soon to make sure.
Thanks Tony.

I can't believe these parts don't have in/out markings anywhere. Most of the parts I've bought lately don't come with any instructions or markings, they must think everyone is an expert lol.

Marking fluid directions is a thing of the past. I ran into the same problem on mine. I took a magic marker and marked the pump. I think my high dollar billet filter adapter was already marked.

I got it all figured out, it was easy to see once removing the filter and lines and sticking a pointer through the filter mount holes. Kinda glad this happened so I was able to learn something.

Thanks for your super quick answers guys, very much appreciated!!

I was so meticulous about bagging and labeling every little piece when I took the motor apart but for some reason I ripped these hoses off without even thinking about it. grin
