Well after checking everything measuring over and over and moving one spring shackle bracket forward 1/8" the springs settle down in a way different way. One the one side the shackle leans 30 degrees forward and the other is 45 degrees. Nothing is welded yet but all is bolted solid. When the car sits down on the springs the drivers side axle to frame is 3/4" shorter than the passenger side thus kicking the shackle out further. Anyone else have a set of springs with a different rate like this?

After almost 71 years I am on my last car. A 65 Plymouth Satellite straight axle altered wheel base car.

I used shorter springs than what Speedway offers...Mine is still in the building stage but everything has been mocked up for a while and loaded with some weight with no issues.
It almost sounds like they sent you two different spring rates... twocents

I agree, sounds like mismatched springs. I'm running a speedway axle kit on my 70 Duster. During mock up with 440 in the car shackles are equal. With springs off car the arch and length should be the same. No way to check spring rate off car.
