I really have tried via the internet, but I am still not sure the code or name of this brown. Thank you.
P.S. Not my truck, wish it was.

300rag, your old truck looks like a different brown to me. The one I posted seems to have more copper than yours. Anyone else agree?
I think it could be "Bright Tan Metallic" but I want to be sure. I want to paint my '79 in this color.
Thanks though.

Might be the lighting, but it looks lighter to me.
I have mechanical Aptitude. I can screw up anything.

I think it might be the same color as this one that was listed for sale awhile back.

Thanks though. I took a look again, and it appears that 76 was the last year for 6443.

^ Excellent, Thank You 6bblgt that looks like it! Thanks again!
I'm already in process of getting my truck ready. I've removed all the plastidip (previous owner sprayed entire truck) from all but roof and tailgate (what a job!). Doing a color change, and the right way, I'll be gutting the interior of course. Then pulling engine, and then it's onto flatbed, and off to body/paint shop. I can't wait!! I'm doing all the mindless work, and leaving the skilled stuff to body shop. No rust, but a couple of holes of previous non-stock mirrors, and a ding or two, but that's it for body work.
Facts are stubborn things.
