I heard some rumors he switched and although I heard he had someone go over his car he pulled off a pretty nice pass this weekend. Also rumors Pro Stock running fewer races in 2019.
NEWS16-Race Schedule Expected for NHRA Pro Stock in 2019 By Drag Illustrated | October 26, 2018 SHARE TWEET SHARE SHARE 0 COMMENTS Sources close to the situation confirmed today that NHRA intends to proceed with a reduced schedule for their Pro Stock eliminator in 2019.
Following a Professional Racers Organization meeting with NHRA during the recently completed NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMAX Dragway, series officials presented a plan to continue to run Pro Stock at all 24 Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events in 2019, but with a further reduced purse. Both during the meeting and since its conclusion, however, Pro Stock racers and team owners have enthusiastically suggested that the purse be left alone and the eliminator simply contested at fewer races. As of this writing, NHRA plans to contest Pro Stock at a minimum of 16 races in 2019 with purses remaining the same ($105,000+ per race).
The 16-race schedule is expected to drive increased participation – largely by reducing the financial burden and time commitment of the full 24-race NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. If participation skews the other direction, NHRA will take steps toward an 8-car field with a reduction in payout.
Following the distribution of a letter from NHRA Vice President, Racing Administration Josh Peterson today between qualifying rounds at the NHRA Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas, reactions from racers and team owners have been largely positive, though not entirely. Many team owners readily admit that this is a move by NHRA that will undoubtedly increase participation – the savings on fuel alone being significant. However, there are racers and team owners who believe a reduction in schedule can only be seen as a step backwards with serious sponsorship implications.

I asked the crew today while I was giving them their time slip if the dodge still had a dodge in it...the answer was Yes of course.
i will stop by their pits in the morning to check it out.
Qualified pretty good...never looked to see what he had run since we get pretty busy at the time slip booth with PSM all stopping there to compare time slips and then the PS rolling thru and the crew is picking up the time slip....
See if I can get a picture....and the car is not painted ...flat black..

Does it matter anyways when it's all new aftermarket anyways? Not like they are using factory built engines.

The year of the EFI Swap Erica Enders was at our regular old local test and tune with one of the Elite Darts, she was driving one of Jegs cars and it had a chevrolet motor in it. I thought it was odd they came out and ran with he common folk at test and tune but it was cool to see. https://youtu.be/w5Bqus-KHXY

“The way I heard it” was, after Elite went back to Chevy, Alan bought one of their Mopar engines.

... and the car is not painted ...flat black.. Murder Mopar? They have jumped in to NHRA Halloween deal with both feet. Adams Family theme with crew costumes and special wrap for the car. The last qualifying run the crew all lined up behind the car in as in the classic Adams Family Portrait. They may want to keep it up, they qualified twelfth and that is pretty good for them.

I asked the crew today while I was giving them their time slip if the dodge still had a dodge in it...the answer was Yes of course. Sounds like they Dodged the question. EDIT: Anybody else think it's weird that NASCRAP has evolved into forcing everyone to use the same car body, but can stuff it w/ whatever engine meets the rules, where as NHRA pretty much requires (explicitly or not) that certain Pro classes all use the same engine to be competitive, but can put those engines in whatever brand body style they want?

Pro Stock is running 16 races next season. And most likely zero races in 2020.
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

It aint no hemi...saw it with my own eyes... Well..i zoomed my phone camera in on the valve covers and pressed the button....later I looked and there was no pictures...they must have installed a force field around it... But I clearly saw it was not a Hemi...
