My most recent 78 Magnum's paint ( original ) looks good but does not hold a wax job. Waxed it not a month ago and noticed this eve when I washed it it isn't beading anymore.

Is there some special wax or compound to revive it?

The water not beading is not paint problem its a wax problem....Try a different wax.

Take care,

Yep, it's a wax problem, not a paint problem.
