the CSR shield solves both the transmission and Flywheel rule - actually has two SFI numbers on it - as with all safety products some minor adjustements needed - as in get the BFH out of the tool box! To make sure it hasn't been modified.

It had TCI #940100. Pain in the but to get the trans out (my motor is slid back). I took it off. No one has even questioned it. That being said I'm going to make a small mod and reinstall it this winter. I've seen to many ring gears come off in the last year. Doug

That guy down there CSR is a piece of work. When I went to get mine recerted the second time, he gave me all kinds of grief. I had already sent it down there because I never dreamed of there being a problem. You basically couldn't tell this thing from new. He kept telling me he couldn't recert it because of this or that. None of it made sense. I kept on him for a legitimate reason. He finally came up with that after so many years the carbon fiber starts to lose its strength. After that he recerted it just to get rid of me. But I've talked to other people and he won't do a second recert. I not an expert so I couldn't tell if that was true or not about the carbon fiber losing its strength. Obviously it’s due to the extreme humidity where you live! ....of course if it were me we’d blame the dry excessive heat.

It’s my take that they don’t sell any.... I’m assuming since I’ve been waiting since July for my 904 peice. I am hoping by the time mine gets to old to recert someone will have a SFI case for 727s and 904s....... not likely but hopes and dreams.

There will be a time when a transmission case can be 3D printed.
I guess that could be done now, but not in something that is strong enough and also light enough.
