Yes, I ended up polishing and repainting them.
The tail panel is a real pain to mask off so it took some time and patience.

The taillight housings have some very minor pitting in them that can be seen upon closer examination but money restraints keep me from buying replacements at this time.
Again the trick was buffing the chrome and then masking them off for paint.

I'm making a road runner clone which will be green F1 with dark green light green interior.

What color and where did you get the carpet? It looks like a good match.

Great work too!

I agree.... the body colored steel wheels w/dog dish look great..... I going that route but have a set of 15" Rallyes w/WLT's for a change out!

Thanks for the suggestions. Right now I am thinking Magnum 500s but the 15" aftermarket version. The steels with the dog caps might be a good place to start though when looking at my budget. LOL

It'll look good either way, but depending what you pay for decent caps, you might not save alot........and if you wanted real "450" steelies.....

'course I might be biased to the steelie/dogdish look:

Can't believe it has been almost a year since I did anything on this car.
Too busy working on other people's stuff.
Anyway, I plan to get back after it with a renewed desire so I thought I would give this thread a bump.

I know it has been forever but I still have the car and am ready to start moving forward again.

Time to redo the bucket seats.

Took a few pics for reassembly purposes and then stripped one bucket seat back.

Bought new foam and seat covers (Legendary) and will begin reassembly shortly.

Dropped the motor off at the machine shop this week. Block will be squared and zero decked, bored .040" and assembled.
Have a 55 Chevy truck in my garage that I am building for someone so it may take awhile before I get things together in my car. It seems these side jobs always take precedent over my car since that's where I get the money.
