My 65 440 12.5 runs a Champion 22 inch.Flex fan and never gets over 180.Ran about as cool with the 65 C body rad and shroud till the jack slipped and broke it.For under 150 bucks great rad.Rocky

lol

Most of the overheat threads are replete with Champion radiators.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

One of the issues with stuffing a big engine in a small engine compartment is poor air flow. I'd advise taking special care that any air getting in the front of the car goes through the radiator, not around.

Supercuda never likes anything. That's his nature.

Zippy that may be a good deal if you want a cross flow. My Champion Rad is a down flow and it looks right in my Dodge.

I've had good luck cooling with my Champion BUT, the fit is terrible. It took me a week to modify how it bolted in (sat too high & hood wouldn't close) and hack up a factory-style shroud to fit it....but it cools OK.

I've had one Champion, a 2 row for $189 to my door (eBay) & it cooled OK but a bone stock 318 ain't gonna test it. I did have to redrill another hole in the drivers side flat flange for mounting but no biggie. I hear the oblong tubes are a bit smaller than normal radiators and that side flanges can be warped. I would check that right off the bat (warpage) & return it if needed but I'm sure I will get another Champion in the future.
