Awile back someone showed where to purchase an aftermarket mini type starter, anyone remember? 426 Hemi

Ebay and look for a Dakota starter from BD Electric, $50 with shipping. Turns my 528 just fine. Not the same application You're thinking this http://www.robbmcperformance.com/products/mopar_starter.html

We wasn't clear. But his response to JK's link says he had the 172 flywheel setup, the Dakota type starter works on the 143 and 130 tooth setup, but not the 172.

Yep should have clarified, 70-71 used the automatic starter, 66-69 the Hemi direct drive starter I think all the 426 Street Hemi motors with the eleven clutch from 1966 up to 1969 and maybe the 1970 and 1971 with eleven inch clutches used the direct drive starter
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
