I stopped by QC Coatings to drop off my intake
to have it ceramic coated.. I was surpried to
to hear I can pick it up on Friday.. sat there
and BS with Bill for a bit.. all is doing great

Did you take a before pic so we can see the improvement?

No I didnt.. Bill has always done great work on
all of my parts.. I will get a pic of the finished
job for ya.. I had this manifold simple power
coated at Chrysler about 30 years ago.. was nice and
smooth.. the way I polished it the upper parts
of the runner looked like a light gray and the
lower was shiney.. over the years it was gas
stained so it was time to have it done in a
ceramic chrome finish

What project are you working on now?

Its a back up engine for my Rampage.. just a 396ci W-5
engine that was a back up for the race car.. I milled
the pistons down so its so its 10.4 comp.. flat tappet
.560/.560 with 252 dur 110 installed at 107... nothing
much.. multi point injected

You get the rampage out to the track yet?

Bill's powder coating is the finest.

No not yet.. this summer I have been taking care of the wife.. she
wont be able to drive for a couple of months yet.. it runs
strong but it sure is easy to spin the tires on the street
