How do I identify which front axle I have in my '80 power wagon? It's /6 with 4 spd. I need to replace the pinion seal

should be a dana44...

Center section should be labelled usually on lower right side hard to read.

Dana 44 axle tubes are 2.5"-3" in diameter, dana 60 are always 3.125"

W100-W200 trucks got dana 44 axles.
W300 got Dana 60

Dana 44 will have ball joints
Dana 60 of that era will have king pins
