This piston does not have any "ears" on the O.D. of the piston like the factory piston has and some aftermarket copies of the standard piston.I am guessing that the "ears" were designed to prevent the piston from possibly rotating in the drum and wearing out the inner seals causing a decrease in applied pressure to the clutch discs. Is this something I should be concerned with?I do have a possible way to add the "ears" if your responses recommend I do so. Thanks for any advice given!

The piston presses against a "stationary" plate. That is, both are moving together.

Then, the other factor, if A&A made it that way, its good. Mr. Allison there is exceptionally knowledgeable and would have put them on as necessary.
