My question, can I buy just the bearing or does it come whole hub complete? Rejected inspection, that's what they claim but I'm thinking lower ball joint since the first set where gone in the first 20,000 miles. I'll check for myself on Saturday. Just getting some heads up for now. Thanks for any help.

From mopar I bought the complete hub. Don`t know about the aftermarket stuff. It was a pain to remove due to rust. I used a method shown on youtube using the bolts and steering to push it off.

iagree

Same here on my '06 2500. Mine wasn't real bad but don't think after all that work I would have wanted to fight pressing the hub and bearing out and a new one back in. shocked

Me three. '07 2500 HD 4x4. Left hub began chunking at 42,000k. I'm true blu Mopar and use OEM as often as I can, however, when that happened so early, I went aftermarket with hubs from NAPA. Made in USA with lifetime warranty. As previously mentioned, the bolt and steering method for removal is the best/easiest way to pop them out. Snap-On also makes a tool, kind of an extra long giant, solid socket specifically for hub removal on the Dodge 4x4's. Be sure and slather the Anti-Seize in the knuckle hole to facilitate future removal.

Due to the early hub failure and since I was opening it all up already, I went ahead and replaced the factory u-joints and ball joints with XHD Spicer joints and grease-able ball joints. Not long after was the factory TieRod/Steering Stabilizer recall for the HD 4x4's so that was replaced (no charge) at the dealer with a way beefier unit compared to the toothpicks that were up front it was built with!

^^^^ I think the factory stuff is junk too. I'll look at all the parts when apart. I'm also getting the steering box-pitman arm stabilizer too.

At fifty grand for a new truck, that money can buy ALOT of parts and fuel!

When you get to the point of needing tie rod assy's I highly recommend using the '09-up steering linkage. (Got mine from RockAuto.) up
