I believe the DRC head has slight advantages over the Hemi head... that being said I believe the small block Hemi head has advantages over all the others..

If the small block head is a P5 wasn't it out years before the last two or maybe three generations of PS car heads? That's not the P5 head IIRC. . It would be very similar to the P5 however it's a Billet with all the necessary improvements

P5 is a standard bore space small block head. Originally a casting, and still available here and there. This is a billet head configuration of the p5. Pro stock(car) uses a head specific block with a bigger bore space. P5 was pro stock truck (U.S.) and Aussi p/s

It was the PST truck, I just don't remember that head being mirror image. I'm going to google it and see what comes up.

Just found a picture and the P5 is a mirror head.
The picture I found is on the Visner web site.
From that picture you can see what those guys are talking about. The "pierce point" of the intake valve, or where it opens relative to the bore axis.
That head has a short runner, like a Hemi does.
Compare that head to the head GM uses and you can see the difference.
The dodge made up the length issue with the intake manifold. With the EFI you can't do it and it hurts the package.

What do you mean with this?
"The dodge made up the length issue with the intake manifold. With the EFI you can't do it and it hurts the package."
Not being a smart allec, just need a deeper explanation.

How does that limit the use of efi?

On a side note, Aussie Lee Bektash ran 6.877@200.14 with a 400ci in 2014.Mopar in a Mopar.

How does that limit the use of efi? I think the hood and forward facing throttle body rules that came along with the EFI is the problem for the Mopar. It makes it hard to build the proper intake to work with the head.

I think the problem with the hemi is with the valve moved to the inboard side of the block it has a shorter runner than a wedge with the valve located further outboard. If you have a shorter runner the motor likes to turn more RPM. Add in the fact now the air has to make a more dramatic turn because of the short runner and forward facing throttle body instead of letting in air and fuel straight above the runner that further reduces the quality and volume of airflow. A wedge valve arangement means it can have a longer gentler turn into the back of the valve. The hemi loses its advantage of opening away from the bore wall. They now have shorter runners that like going over the RPM limit and a sharp turn that reduces what flow advantage they had.

What trans are they using? Don’t know my comp alphabet. Manual? Auto? It's a 5 speed liberty just like PS uses. The engine is a P5 which is NOT a scaled dopwn version of the 99. Rick Waters along with Patterson and Mopar developed those heads for PST back when they were running. Unfortunately for Mopar the Dakota is an aero slug compared to the other makes. The 99/06 stuff is similar to the P5 would be a more accurate way to put it. The engine is the same as the Aussi Pro Stock stuff, which used to be Water bread and butter until someone stole those customers away from RWR. Brandons car is a bit lighter(70lbs) than an Aussie Pro Stock car but take nothing away from his tuning abilities and making that car work. The issue with them as pointed out is a lack of available blocks. I would have built one in a heartbeat of stuff was available as the owner of the Vette built them when he was at RWR, just to hard to find a block that is useable. Hopefully Dart comes through but not holding my breath as that was Maskins deal and the company is being sold(although I hear he will be keeping the aluminum side).

I would think that a ritter block with a blank lifter tunnel would be do-able.
