Hi all...trying to convert my 71 Challenger to a 4 spd OD car. Originally a 6cyl, 3 spd manual. Was a 360 AT when I got it. Now that I got the OD trans in...the linkage doesn't appear to have room. Anyone have this combo with pics you can share,please? Even ebody m/t pics would help. Thank you!

What linkage? Shifter? Clutch?

hit "edit" then hit "file mananger" then hit "choose file" then you can work on getting your pic to upload (not always easy). then after you get it "in there" then click "add file" then click "done adding files" then post everything.

First lets assume you have the rods right. The 1-2 and 3-4 rods go through the space between the trans crossmember and the tunnel. The reverse rod goes under the cross member.

All of the steel rectangles that connect the rods to the transmission should be facing up.

This will get you the OD shift pattern that is:

1 4

2 3


That kind of sucks so you can correct it by buying a different 3-4 rod ($69) and inverting the 3-4 triangle
