Wondering if anyone has had any problems using stock port Indy EZ heads with 67 440HP exhaust manifolds, or other year HP manifolds for that matter. I did a mock up and looks like number 6 and 8 might be tight to fit a plug wire on because of the angle plugs. My concern is getting wires to work with this set up. Thanks.

Don't those manifolds defeat the purpose of using an aftermarket aluminum head.

I think you are correct. Those plug wires will be right up against the manifold. You might get them to live if you use head shields of some sort.

I don’t think the problem is necessarily “aftermarket aluminum heads” and ex manifolds, but I don’t think larger runner volumes along with ex manifolds are going to be the hot ticket.

The 84cc E street heads have straight plugs(no manifold issues), and the smaller runners are probably going to be better 90% of the time.
