What air gap should there be with a dual friction Center Force clutch? And also the dual friction disc doesn't like hilly street driving, what would be another choice for a disc? When being caught on hills, after just a couple slipping starts it will start to smell, and growl and not work so good.

You must be doing something wrong.Mine has been in at least 15 years.Never a problem.never set air gap.I adjust mine so that it just goes into reverse with no problems.Never any issues. As for slipping etc never had an issue.Love the one behind my 440.Its been hammered and still hooks like new.Rocky

I agree. I've used the dual friction for every stick car I've owned since around 2000. I have one in my daily driver now. I've put almost 20,000 miles on it without issue. I've taken it on vacation twice to SC and last year to MI. Lots of hilly driving on both trips with no issues.

Those aren't the kind of hills we have here in East Tn. When you behind 5 to 10 cars on a steep hill, it doesn't like it.

If you want something that will hold power and act like a stock clutch on hills, get an organic twin disc. I was cheap and put a ceramic single disc in my modified cummins, once it wears out I will go twin in it too because it's not much on hills from a stop especially with a trailer in tow.

Ok, that makes sense. This thing if fine on level ground, but around here there's not much of that. Thanks
