It looks like a 3D printed prototype, off something like a Uprint or similar machine. The Stratasys machines use an ABS plastic that is that colour

Yes it is a 3D printed piston from ICON Pistons. Use it for mock-up then put 8 slugs in the machine and hit go if everything fits. I can't believe how close it is on measurements.

Technology is cool!

That is a nice way to verify dome shape and valve pockets and stuff like that. Shouldn't cost too much either. I didn't know ICON had that technology now but it is cool that they are doing that.

Never gave ICON a second thought when i put my 511 together, But compititionwedgeengines told me a little about them. At $500 a set you get alot of piston for little money.

I juggling two projects at the same time because I'm not real smart, LOL.
I'm hoping the have it together and running before the end of October.

I don't have rocker arms (T&D is making them), Pistons still need to be made, about 3 weeks once I say go!

Oil pan is on order

As you know non of this stuff is on the shelf haha

I believe they will cost you a little more than $500.00 but they do make a real quality piston and now they also have Line 2 Line coating, can Hard Anodize and a Thermal Barrier coating.

These pistons are really, really nice!

Icon was the choice for my 512, very happy so far.
