Was there any small block (340) 71 Road Runners with the Air Grabber hood option? I don't recall ever seeing one.

It was possible to get a 340 Runner with the Air Grabber, but I don't recall ever seeing one either.

I've been trying to catch up on the roadrunner history, being a new owner of a 71' RR. I read on another website that the 340 motor became optional in 72' but it never mentioned a 340 being an option in 71'.

That's a local car. And it's a hood and trunk strip car,4spd, bench seat too!! Pretty unmolested. I think it would have still had it's original paint if it weren't for a past clueless owner in the past 10 years.

This may help. It's the 71 data book listing the 340 as optional in the RR.

71 340 engine in RR

Seeking '68 383-2bbl engine assembly codes from Broadcast sheets. What's on yours?

Let me correct myself after seeing that info sheet. I thought the 340 only became available in 72', but now I know otherwise. Any chance you know what the specs are on the camshaft used in the high performance 383 that year?

Earliest 340 71 runner I have on record was built in October '70.
