Is there a difference between B body and E body wiper arms? I see they take a different wiper blade but I am wondering if it is just the size of the blade vs. any difference in the arm? I would also assume that the part that holds the blade is longer?

Thanks

71-74 B body are VIRTUALLY the same than E bodies. Diff comes more related to the year itself due some design changes year after year on how the linkage is assembled.

Actually E's are a little shorter.
71-4 B's left 17.25" right 18.75"
70-4 E's left 15.50" right 16.50"
Also B's are square on the shaft end and E's are rounded.

71-4 B body top, 70-74 E body below...the arms speak for themselves

The actual wiper "transmission" linkage may also appear the same too, but the 71 B body linkage is shorter than the E body wiper relay rods, as well as a few differences on the pivots as well, I was recently sent a 71-4 3spd B body wiper linkage that was sold to me as a 70-74 E body set up, after comparing it to a known E body 3spd set up, it was close but no cigar

Interesting!

All what I could find about this is ( when hunting parts to my 2 to 3 speeds conversion ) more about the linkage kind differences allong the year setup, and for years this was the only stuff I could set as conclussion

I'm not at home to check for diff PN on all these parts at my 74 catalog between E and B bodies and will take a while to get back home, but sure will check it

Now about the blades? Are really they different? I never have read somebody selling these as different aside if used Anco or Trico from factory!

Then a new add on this... the rounded and the squared ends are maybe due the manufacturer? Anco vs Trico ?
