I have a 5.7L stroked to a 392 with the Ritter Intake, Thitek heads, and running a carburetor on E85. I would like to install a vacuum pump to help keep the oil clean. I have a catch can connected to the drivers side of the intake, which is also where I add oil, and there seems to be quite a bit of blow-by coming from that area, so much so that I don't believe it would be a good idea to hook a vacuum pump to that port. Can anyone recommend where a good place would be? I know the valve covers are very tight for clearances. I know that some people are running the header-style evac system and are hooked up to that port but don't seem to have that problem.

Any recommendations, or am I just over-thinking this??

That is where I plan to pull from. If it pulls to much oil I will tap the same spot on the other side of the intake and "Y" the lines to the pump to cut the air velosity

Yeah, that may be something to try and may also be the reason why the guys with the header evac systems pulling from both sides are able to make it work. I'm also following a thread on Facebook, a guy has drilled and tapped a hole in the front timing cover at about the 1 o'clock position above the cam reluctor wheel. The theory behind it makes sense.
