Seems like a no-brainer. My 6 year-old rattlecan died while I was painting some mounts this morning. I googled it. Summitt Racing - not in stock; Jegs - not in stock. Everywhere I clicked, genuine Mopar Hemi Orange paint (the street hemi color; not race hemi) is out of stock, minimum of a month, but some say "notify when available". I see YearOne has a mix they say is the same color, but I was hoping for the Mopar version. Anybody have a source?

"NO ETA" that means back ordered or discontinued. Just went through this with JEGS on some MP 440 emblems. Got back ordered emails for months. But they will let you order it. I have always been happy with Pasticoat on the rattle can stuff.

Go to your local auto paint store and have them mix up a rattle can of 1969 V2 Hemi orange. I think they can do that.

So ChicagoConnection has a few cans. But the $24 shipping stopped me cold. Now I have 1 painted Moparâ„¢ Street Hemi Orange and 1 VHT Ceramic Hemi Orange. When they're both dry I'll take a picture and let the experts fight over how incorrect they both are. Thanks for the help. And the pointer to the other thread. I did search a few times here prior to posting. Just no good results.

Duplicolr Hemi Orange & wrinkle finish spray cans worked just fine for me. Second picture shows how nice the wrinkle finished wrinkled with some heat lamps & a heat gun.

Nice looking engine. I have used both those paints before and they worked great. If it a driver, race car or hotrod who cares is it's a shade off. Here is a pic of mine it's off a few shades from HEMI orange. O wait it's bright red. It's a street/racecar so lets have some fun and not worry if that bolt is the wrong color or the engine color is a shade off.

Apparently there were some red ones for a short period of time. Do you guys use a high heat primer or regular primer on the engine parts?
