Short trips, nothing. Long trips (like Buffalo NY to Mopar Nationals)? Well, spare rotor and cap, a couple ignition wires, duct tape, safety wire, basic tool box with screw drivers, sockets and wrenches. Usually all tools needed to change alternator, starter, tire, etc. I'll also carry a small coil of 12 ga stranded wire and electrical tape. For fluids, a quart or two of oil. Maybe a gallon of water. And a AAA card with long distance towing.

nothing. I have a cell phone and AAA if I need it but generally my older stuff works fine, because I have a very good mechanic.
Me.

Only thing I changed was several gallons of water, brimmed hat and long sleeve shirt for a southern AZ desert crossing (I sunburn easily). Gladly I did not need any of it for an X country trip IL-CA and back.

I don't even have AAA. But I do have a cell phone. Same here, the financials just don't add up for AAA. Way overpriced for the small benefits

Spare wife , so she can help push
Anyways how much extra is the Hagerty Plus or Premium plan and it only covers your collector car , that’s why I just keep the Hagerty Standard
AAA covers all my vehicles , drivers , hell one tow job basically covers the premium
They even towed my Snowmobile trailer for me once on a flatbed , that was Awesome especially considering where I was

Just wondering what parts are good to carry in our old cars in case of a breakdown, I guess it would be the most common parts that fail. A phone, a $&@ or three, a small tool kit and some 'road service'... All JIC... Vintage 'road time' since 1994-have never had the need for any 'spare' parts...
