I'd like to know if anyone here might be able to tell me if a 235/70-15 tire mounted on either a 15x6 or 15x7 wheel will fit on the front of a 67 GTX without rubbing. The wheels are Cragars and I believe the 15x7 has 4 1/8 BS. Not sure of the BS on the 15x6.

NO they will rub the front corner of the fender. Too tall, the wheel won't matter. Tried it one time.

Thanks. I thought that might be the case but wanted to ask before I started having tires mounted/dismounted to test fit.

FWIW I have 28 inch tall tires on the front of my 67, so I don't see why your 235/70 wouldn't work because its too tall. It will be close, and the combination of that tall and wider, I can't guarantee that it will work, but it won't not work because its too tall.

Mine are 670-15 Firestone (coker) tires on 15 x 4.5 Cragars, BS is 2.25 inches. They're supposed to be 28.6 inches tall, I just measured them to be 28 in my garage.

Alignment plays into it as well, before I rebuilt my front end I had less clearance

You have a skinny wheel and tire combo, that will make huge difference. A 6 or 7 inch wheel with a wide tire like a 235 70 is a whole different thing. Not a fair comparison.

Look how high you car is sitting, you can see the top of the front tire, and see the tire over the top of the rim in the rear. Definitely raised up on all four corners. Some folks don't want their car sitting that high.
