I have never been to the Mopar Nationals.. I have a few Questions. I run NHRA, I have a NHRA license. I run 9.20's to 9.30's. Will my NHRA license be honored??
Do they have racing everyday?? I don't want to drive over 400 miles to only race 1 day. I hope that they have racing everyday?? I run Pro class in NHRA, No delay box, No air shifter. What class would I run at the Nationals??
Do they have parking on asphault for a 33' motorhome, with a 26' trailer?? Is it 1/4 mile racing??
Thanks for any answers to my questions.. Trying to make up my mind where I want to go August 10th to the 12th, 2018. Either the Mopar Nationals, or Keystone Raceway Park in New Alexandria, Pa. for there Sniper Series Race??

The nats is a big show with a lot of activity going on and a lot of cars, swap meet and people, Saturday is usually a very busy day and sometimes Friday dependent upon the weather, you will get usually 2 time runs and a gamblers race on those days and main race will be Sunday, I usually try to make it, be it racing or just to hang out with friends.

Make sure your safety stuff is up to snuff. Every time I've raced there they do actually tech your car very carefully. If your helmet is out of date they will take it and you can get it back when the event is over. I'm not saying your stuff is not up to snuff but Some tracks like bowling green the tech booth is just a place to collect tech cards.

Jim is right, the racing plays second fiddle to the show stuff at the Mopar Nats, although the racing is very good.
I haven't gone in several years because of the hassle, at least for this old guy. It is hot, and there have quite a few times I came back from a pass with the temp needle pegged, behind slow moving golf carts who refuse to move and let me by. Every golf car ever produced anywhere in the western world is at Trails that weekend, I think. For me, it's just too hot, and too damn crowded, like 10lbs of stuff in a 5lb bag. And, like someone mentioned, make sure your car is right safety wise because it will get the third degree, and they don't seem to let anything go. There is a Jegs retail right down the road, though, you can get anything you need. Just need $$$ or a credit card.
If you've never been, you may want to try it once, though, as your experience may differ. But, I'm an old guy and it works on me.
Keystone is my home track, and there is some asphalt around for parking a motorhome, but, if not, there is a lot of grass on the top end and a lot of guys like to pit there because it is cooler, and quieter. I like pitting up there, in the shutoff area. If your car runs Pro NHRA, you would run Modified in IHRA. Don't lash me to the mast on this, but I think they run the Sniper Series 8th mile.
