at least on big blocks I've had good luck with Mancini, but I had to sand down the end where it goes into the block
70 Roadrunner convt. street car
440+6, NOS, 4-spd, SS springs
'96 Mustang GT convt. street car
'04 4.6 SOHC, NOS, auto, lowered

Puzzled by the 1" shorter? What does that mean? "2049" - Oil Indicator & Tube Assembly - $45 Each Our high quality reproduction oil indicator and tube for 1970-74 small block applications. The clear zinc plated tube is formed from the correct wall thickness steel tubing with correct swedged flare & tapered end for easier installation. Oil indicator handle is accurately formed and finished like original, but is 1" shorter in length than originals. The indicator includes anti-rattle bends and embossed ADD-FULL marks. Handle and tube are to be painted with the engine after installation."
