Ran a 125hp shot for years on a stock bottom end it ran 14:50 on motor and 13:20 on nitrous, always ran good

I wouldn't be scared a bit to spray 125-150 on it.

Some people get lucky, others do not. I've always considered a 100hp shot of nitrous about the limit for a stock bottom end, running 93+ octane fuel, good plugs (copper not platinum), excellent fuel pressure & maybe retard the timing a degree or two about the limit for a stock bottom end.

I have run a 150 shot on a stock bottom end, I have to admit....BUT I've also had a bad nitrous backfire that blew the top half of the motor into pieces AND melted another engine when the fuel pump couldn't keep up at the top end of the 1/4 mile (ran lean). My 2-cents...no more than a 125hp max and I think a 100hp shot should drop your 1/4 mile a full second at least on a stock-ish motor.

I have run 250 shot (Cheater kits) on my bone stock 440 New Yorkers & Newports in the past & even on my 440 Charger before at times with no issues ever. Never blew any of them up. It sure does wake them up. (no quarter mile times, just street sleepers). Just don't use the recommended jetting for the kits. Each car / kit requires it own unique tune & will take a little adjusting to get the plugs looking good.

6pkrtse, all I can say is wow.... I've never even considered a 250 shot on cast pistons. I don't doubt you, but I don't doubt my own grenaded engines either. How many bottles have you run through on those cars that stayed in one piece? Geez, that's a lot of spray on a stock motor. How did you dial them in?

There was a member here I remember talking several times about how many bottles he fed through a stock bottom end 440 w/ a 300 hp NOS Big Shot plate system on it and never hurt it. FastMop maybe?

Not a Mopar, but I fed a LOT of bottles through a stock bottom end 5.3 GM LS motor in my old '00 Silverado. It was only a 100 shot, but man did it love it.

250-300HP sounds like alot, but alot is in the tune up. Some people can crack the main webbing on an NA 500 HP 440, and some can blow their ring lands up with a 100 shot. Some factory engines are much loser than others too whistling
