I'm currently running an old Proform 7qt. pan that's seen some abuse over the last 25 years and I'm looking to replace it. I'm thinking about going to the E Body St Hemi pan for more ground clearance. Would this pan be suitable, capacity wise? I'm thinking it is, but looking for other input. shruggy
I'm running low 11s at around 6400 through the lights.

summit branded is exact same pan for just $95 their pick ups suck they are very very rusty inside ( china crap) so use stock pick up
That pan should work perfect for you same pan as Mopar perf from Summit as a summit brand

I ran that pan in my old Duster with the pump gas 518 C.I. low deck stroker motor, it needed to be above the add mark at the 1/4 mile track to not see a small drop of oil pressure when I let off on the other end work
It would cross the finish line between 6500 and 7100 RPM depending on which tires where on the rear at 10.00 ET at 134.+ MPH shruggy
No problems on the street ever with that pan or at the 1/8 mile tracks up
I use them now on every build I can thumbs

The Milodon version is made much better, but is not as inexpensive.

I ran one of the MP pans and the spot welds on the baffle broke, leaving well-hidden little holes in the side of the pan for oil to leak out only when the engine was actually running. Too cheaply made for my $$$.

Make sure it's their version of the Street Hemi pan 30761, not the lower-capacity standard pan 30760.

Not entirely sure what you mean. However, if it's because of the minimal amount of oil control, that's why mine is set up as described HERE.

What's the difference of the Summit ones and 440Source?

It all depends on how quickly the oil in your motor returns to the oil pan from the valve covers. If running a Hemi I would not use this pan for drag racing and have seen many a pan sucked dry with a better performance oil pump when the oil is all in the top of the motor leaving the bearings with little to no oil. I would rather have extra oil in a bigger pan then none in the pan.

I have the 440source it's thin. I wish I knew for sure the milodon one was heavier, I would have gladly paid more. I had an mp 402? Pan and there is a big difference in the weight between those pans
