I thought '69 was the last year too, but guess some '70s got leftovers. My '70 cuda had RH threads all the way around.

My first car - a 1970 Cuda 340 had LH threads on one side of the car & RH on the other. I don't know the build date of the car, but I think it was early. Guy worked for Chrysler & ordered it as soon as the order banks opened. Car did not have the rear sway bar either.

This 70 was built in 71 so its even later than I was thinking. Huh?? How could a 70 be built in 71? 1970 was the last year for Lefties. Talk about a special order!

I thought it was 69 but I am working on a 70 charger late model year build and it has the LH threads. So when was it phased out? A few of my 70 B/E bodies had lefties

I have an issue of Consumer Reports that says early 70 'cudas did not get rear sway bars as they were supposed to. My 7/30/70 'cuda does have one.

My '70 cuda was built 10/30/69 with no rear sway bar and all RH thread wheel studs.

What about Dodge? I have had a 71 and 72 Dart with left hand 7/16" lugs. According to the Factory Parts Manual the '71 change was across the board, all makes/models including the 7/16" A-bodies.

383 Cudas & Challenger R/T's were supposed to get the rear sway bars also according to the vehicle brochures.
