Thanks Josh. I despise social media, even if a forum might technically qualify, so I wouldn’t have seen this on there.
Great to see local tie ins. Should make for even better events when that’s possible.
I want my fair share

Josh, any plans to manipulate the purses to better fit the class sizes? I think two classes last year only had three rounds Sunday but raced for the same purse as Pro. Maybe combine some of the classes that are real close together like the Hemi class and NSS? N/SS has never gone only 3 rds to win, neither has Hemi. Doug

Maybe combine some of the classes that are real close together like the Hemi class and NSS? I’ve been trying to get some sponsor dollars for Pro so I can add purse dollars. There is far to large of a delta in the rules of NSS and Hemi to combine those classes. I’ve been having some pretty encouraging conversations with some folks, but with that said if anyone knows someone who would like to jump on board with us to sponsor Pro or Super Pro send them my way. We would love to add to all the purses.

Doug The second half of my comment wasn't related to the first. I think King of Street and Big Dog only had 3 rounders Sunday. As far as combing classes, that was just a suggestion to help increase purse sizes to other classes. NSS and the Gen 2 Hemis aren't THAT far off, even when you look at the rules. I just keep getting back to Pro having such a huge populous over the others and still racing for the same purse. Pro normally foots the bill for others at events, I get that, but with so many classes at this event, it's a common complaint I hear. I'm not sure why sponsorship is the main driver for purse...I would have thought car counts? Either way, good to see efforts to get people involved are there.

I bet most people would be freaked to see what it cost to rent the facility for 4 days. My guess is walk up spectator tickets begin to help the bottom line, probably not racer entry

I'm not sure why sponsorship is the main driver for purse...I would have thought car counts? Either way, good to see efforts to get people involved are there. It’s a little more complicated then just moving the money around or combining the classes. I appreciate the pro guys for their support and understand that they make up a large quantity percentage of the racers. The thing is I have a program in place that we are able to make work as it is and is scaleable. If I add purse I have to bring in more dollars. If I combine classes I will certainly lose racers. We do this show with about a 3% profit margin believe it or not. Small changes make a big difference at that level. That’s why sponsor dollars drive it. We put so much back in paying for the track and expenses total payouts and all the other things not worth listing to pull it all together. I’m not interested in changing the format from where we are at today. But with that said I do over time expect to be able to make it better for everyone. My Opinion at this point on making it better is to do one of 2 things. Lower entry fees or raise the purse. I prefer the idea of raising the purse, I like the classes we have as they are set and am extremely grateful for the people who come and race with us. Now if I could just get Bob George to come off some money....
