We are looking to rent or work out a deal for a reputable engine dyno shop to spend a day dyno testing brand new wiresets on a reliable Mopar Small Block. We purchased new sets of

Moroso Ultra 40
Moroso Blue Max
MSD Super Conductors
MSD StreetFires
Accell 8.8 Race 300
Taylor SpiroPro Series

And of course our FireCore50

We need truthful results. We will of coure pay for fuel, time or work out a possible trade. Most importantly, the truth. Must be able to read EGT's, A/F, and have printouts.

Please let us know. It must be an engine dyno Challenge. Thanks

The only person I know of is Mopar Rich.. he has access to an engine dyno and I believe he has the time to spend on testing the wires.. Give him a PM

I'd love for the ProMax shop to do it ! I figured they were still unloading from the killer show last weekend. Give me a shout if you guys are up to it. Pleasae give us a call if you'd like to give it a go. There will be millions of fans watching the tests very closly. Kammers are another, but Promax get first dibs.

Just got off the phone with Dave Koffel, he said they would be up for the test sessions, but they don't have a smallblock around. Thanks Koffel's Place. Any shops with a mule smallblock they test with?

Rick,

We have a brand new 360 SB we just built (inhouse motor). It would be perfect for what you are wanting to do. Maybe we can make a weekend of it! Let me know

Thanks

Thanks Ben and company. It's all yours !! I'll ship the wires to you. Do you think you'll be able to offer true tests ? Thanks. A lot of people will be watching.

The Dyno never lies! ...

We can't wait to get this show down on. I have already done a resistance test on your wires, and FireCores had the lowest.

Kammer and Kammer would be my choice. I took my big block stroker there to beat up on their engine dyno. awesome facilities, and they are mopar folks.

I've also been told by other people that their dyno is spot on accurate, not over-inflated like some others out there.

They also have a chassis dyno to use as well. maybe you could back up your results by using a small block mopar on the engine dyno, and then use the same wires on a car that has a small block in it to see if you get the same results (meaning that if your firecores beat everyone else on the engine dyno, they also beat everyone else on the chassis dyno)

but...renting 2 dyno's for the day isn't cheap! I think I was hit for $500 plus costs for a day on the engine dyno, and that was over a year ago. I don't know how much you're planning on throwing at this project.

Hey, if you can do it on a thursday or a friday, let me know, since we're down to 4 days a week and I'm on 3rd shift, I'm free thursday and friday. I'd love to be an extra set of eyes for the day!

I wish all it took was lowest ohms, we'd all use solid core wires. Its mostly a consistently built core. That is seriously the difference with ours. There maybe no huge, readable difference in some of these, I have no idea, this test has never been done, to our knowledge. But I do know that our 8,.5 mm set was still going strong , with zero defects, on Koffel's Places Lake Erie Monster, with an blown-alky powered wedge with a Mag44 on it. Other manufacturer's stress on changing that coil wire after every race weekend, and complete set after 3 race weekends. We think our 75 passes more than proved their durability exceeds anything out there. Looking forward to sending down the wires Rich. We will need a ton of pics and info.

Our test is not to single out and throw mud at any company. We will not post any companies numbers, but keep everything in house. We will list the numbers as exhibit a , exhibit b and so on.. Thanks,
