I understand the micron rating but if it only flows 50gph its worthless on a 500gph pump. just wondering what anyone was using.

Never heard of needing x amount of flow from a filter only went by micron rating, usually the pump will recommend a filter to match the pump.

because its micron is what ever doesn't mean it flows the same depending on surface area. a 2" long and a 8" long filter will filter the same micron but will flow way more. don't understand why most don't show flow #'s.

What is the flow rating of your fuel line....

Buy the biggest size 100 micron fuel filter you can get up work
Your right about the fuel flow, smaller actual filter area won't flow the same GPM as the biggest one will with the same size micron ratings shruggy

looks like the pump has a 150 micron built into it. I'm having a problem with my needle and seat flooding so I wanted to put in a post filter, but didn't want to kill the flow.

If your flooding you need to adjust the regulator
not choke the flow

I never said I was trying to choke the flow. I'm trying not to choke the flow by getting a good filter

what is your engine combo, that requires a 2,000hp rated pump??

If your having flooding problems with 5 psi and have cleaned the needle and seat and still have a problem , you have a damaged set. It will continue to give you problems. Replace it or both.

I used the KRC 100 micron screen type filter as a pre-filter when I had the in-line EFI pump. Not sure on flow, but large filter area.

On the Charger when i had a carb, I used the Mallory 500 filter. It is a 40 micron filter, but costs $200

It’s because people are trying to help you.
But with your attitude, don’t be surprised if you don’t get any.

Again never picked a fuel filter by flow just microns, now if u need more flow u up your fuel line size. Then u pick a filter with the correct microns and size to match your line and use a 40 microns 6 AN filter is going to flow less then a 40 microns 10 AN filter.
